Sundays used to be filled with sleeping in late, brunch, catching up on shows and events from the week, and general lounging around before the work-week started back up. Now, with a construction-worker husband and a Kindergartner daughter, Sundays are consumed with cleaning up after them and all the laundry they pile up. Not to mention entertaining their friends for football games and play dates.
As much as i miss my leisurely activities, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
For starters, Kyleigh, my 5 year old, is live-in entertainment. Never a dull moment with my sassy little red-headed ball of spunkiness. She is vibrant, energetic, witty, creative, sweet and mischievous all rolled up in one adorable package. Sometimes I really long for the days when she first came into the world and needed me for everything. She has grown into a very independent young lady now. Every day is an adventure with my pumpkin.
Then there's my husband. Ex-Marine turned Crane Operator. He's silly and quirky. He is the all-american country boy. Loves guns and hunting, college football, camping, and playing with our daughter. He is definitely a kid at heart. Most days i feel like I have 2 children. Eventhough he can be a handful, he is also very loving, kind and generous. He puts his family first and does everything he can to provide for us and make sure we want for nothing. We are truly blessed to have him.
So, yeah, I don't get to relax as much anymore. But my life is filled to the brim with love and adventure.
And I couldn't be happier.
XOXO
